Today, we put to rest our sweet Sydney, who passed away in her sleep on Dec. 30th. We had her cremated memorialized and the pet funeral home (yes, there are such places) gave us a beautiful box engraved with her name on it. Marty dug a little grave and we had a small prayer and then buried the box along with her collar and tags. Some days are harder to call joyful, but we are thankful for the 14 great years we had with Sydney. She was a great dog who will forever be a reminder of our carefree early days of marriage.
